Antico Fixed Blade

The wide blade of Sardinia’s past, fixed.

Customizable 10-year warranty + lifetime sharpening Forged by hand in Pattada On commission · 6-12 months
The story of the model

The ancient form of the Sardinian knife.

Alongside the Resolza, already in the 1800s, the north of Sardinia used a wider blade, “bay-leaf” in shape: the knife the Sardinian shepherd carried at his side, above all for the hunt. The Giagu Antico Lama Fissa is our reinterpretation of that form, with the rigour of the maison and the materials of tradition.

An ergonomic grip and a broad, robust profile, fully customisable in both handle and blade. Ram or mouflon horn, fossil ivory, fine woods, paired with stainless, carbon or Damascus steels.

One of the recurring choices is to have guard and tang in different, contrasting materials — an aesthetic solution the workshop has used since 1985.

It is the knife for those who seek a collector’s piece, inspired by the past.

Common questions

About this piece

How is a Giagu Antico Fixed Blade commissioned?
Every Antico Fixed Blade begins with a conversation. You write to the Giagu workshop describing the materials, the dimensions and the occasion, and the maison guides you through the configurations available. Lead time is six to twelve months from confirmation. Every finished piece comes with a paper certificate signed by the family.
Is the Antico Fixed Blade a numbered piece?
Every Giagu Antico Fixed Blade is engraved with the mouflon mark and the words GIAGU PATTADA. Each order carries its own number, identifying it in the maison's internal archive from 1985 onward. The mark, for its part, stays with the piece forever.
What is the warranty on the Antico Fixed Blade?
Every Giagu Antico Fixed Blade is guaranteed for ten years from the date of delivery. Sharpening is free for the lifetime of the knife, at the Pattada workshop or by post.
