Every Giagu knife is made to commission. There is no stock, no e-commerce. The process is a conversation: from the choice of model to the delivery of the piece, every step is discussed and agreed together.
The first conversation
Write to us from the page of the model that interests you, or call directly. We ask: who is it for? For what use? Are there particular materials in mind? Any delivery constraints? From these first answers we begin to shape the piece.
Choosing the materials
Steels (AISI 420C, carbon, Damascus), horns (chiefly ram, mouflon), fine woods (Sardinian olive, juniper, ebony or burl), metals (silver, gold, Sardinian filigree), fossil ivory. Every piece is fully customisable: each choice affects time and price.
The quote and the deposit
You receive a detailed quote, with an estimated time to make (6–12 months depending on the model). On acceptance, a 30% deposit is placed and the order enters production. The balance is settled on delivery, by arrangement with the client.
The stages in the atelier
The selection of materials, the handle, the blade: every stage is carried out by hand in the same atelier on Via Vittorio Emanuele in Pattada.
The delivery
The piece arrives in its own packaging: in traditional Sardinian cloth for the folding knives, or in a wooden case for the fixed blades. With it come the paper certificate signed by the family, the technical sheet of materials, and instructions for its care over time. International shipping. Ten-year warranty + sharpening for life. A knife is forever.
